Rep. Giffords’ condition upgraded from serious to good, hospital says!

Fluid buildup in brain that delayed rehabilitation starting to subside, reports say

WEDNESDAY, Jan. 26 (HealthDay News) — Doctors for Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords upgraded her condition to good from serious Tuesday night, and she could be moved to a rehabilitation center in Houston as early as Wednesday as she continues her remarkable recovery from a gunshot wound to the brain.

Giffords’ physicians at Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center determined that she is ready to move to TIRR Memorial Hermann, where her rehabilitation will begin. She might be moved sometime Wednesday morning, after another review of her condition, according to the hospital, the Associated Press reported.
