Counter-Terrorism CEO Morgenstern appointed to GCIS Executive Security Council


LOS ANGELES — The new director of private intelligence communications agency GCIS (Griffith Colson Intelligence Service) has appointed an Israeli-American security chief to her Executive Security Council, the advisory board of the GCIS Director.

Kayla Cohen, Director of GCIS, announced the appointment of Henry Morgenstern, CEO of Security Solutions International on Tuesday, after receiving an acceptance from Morgenstern.

“Henry is the Godfather of counter-terrorism and security when it comes to training and first responding solutions. He is one of the icons of the industry”, said Cohen. This is the second appointment to her advisory board since taking over the reigns of GCIS last Friday.

Henry Morgenstern is a US and Israeli citizen who has had business experience in the USA, South America, Europe and Israel. He was educated in the United Kingdom and took an honors degree from the University of Cambridge in 1974. He speaks English, Spanish, and Hebrew. He is the co-editor with Ophir Falk of the book, ” Suicide Terror: Understanding and confronting the threat”, which has gained praise from many including the Israeli Prime Minister – Benjamin Nethanyahu. Morgenstern co-founded Security Solutions International (SSI) in 2004 and is the President of that company. Since then he has pioneered a number of training programs for US law enforcement and other First Responders. He was instrumental in creating the suicide terror programs that SSI has used to train more than 1000 agencies. He was very involved with the creation of the ORMAC program – operational response to mass casualty. His main contribution has been Homeland Security training in Israel – a program that he put together and which has taken more than 400 security professionals to Israel to view how that country’s security systems. While in Israel from 1984 to May 2003, Morgenstern developed excellent high level contacts with the Security Establishment, making SSI the premiere training company for counter-terror related subjects. Today, the company works with an international cadre of trainers but mainly from the USA.

He is also the CEO of the Homeland Security Network, the USA’s leading private homeland security network for first responders.
